Iftikhar Ahmad was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England in 2004 and brings a distinguished legal career spanning several decades. He has previously worked with leading legal chambers and firms including 6 King’s Bench Walk, Iftikhar Law Associates, IA Solicitors, and Wentworth Solicitors. Mr. Ahmad began his legal practice in 1986 as a criminal defense barrister.He gained national recognition for his successful defense in the Strangeways Prison riot case, earning him the prestigious Red Bag a mark of distinction at the criminal bar. He also represented former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto in high-profile Swiss graft cases.In Pakistan, Mr. Ahmad has led a prominent constitutional law practice, having been involved in landmark cases including challenges to presidential elections and the dissolution of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. His legal work spans international arbitration, extradition, INTERPOL matters, civil litigation, and commercial law.In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Ahmad has served in public office as a Senator and Provincial Law Minister.
